Coaching
“A coach is someone who tells you what you don’t want to hear, who has you see what you don’t want to see, so you can be who you have always known you could be.” — Tom Landry
Who I work with
Mid to senior leaders, usually in technology, usually at the point where the thing that made them successful has stopped being the thing the job needs. Newly promoted, newly scaled, or newly stuck.
How it works
One to one, by video, or in person if you’re near Oxfordshire. We start with a conversation that costs nothing and commits you to nothing. If it’s a fit, we agree a number of sessions and what you want to be different by the end of them.
What I bring
I’m not a full-time coach and I don’t want to be. I run technology teams for a living, which means I have recently been in the room you’re describing. Trust, candour and your own accountability do most of the work — I hold the space and ask better questions than you’re currently asking yourself.
Availability
The day job comes first, so I take on a small number of clients at a time. I also keep a couple of pro bono places each year. If cost is the thing in the way, say so.
